Arab Street has been gaining popularity mainly because of sheisha. There are many restaurants along this street which offers good food (though its quite costly) and most would choose to eat it while smoking sheisha.
Besides restaurants, there are also textile and fabrics shop houses which offers a wide variety of colorful fabrics and silk for one to choose from. Carpetry shops are also common in this area.
Honestly, Arab Street was like a blast from the past since there are many "mama shops" selling 'antique' sweets (Ding Dang and Tora) and other items which we had long forgotten. The vibrance of the area now simply reflects how it must have been in the past.
This is a photo of us thinking of what 'antique' sweets to buy.
